Specialized Aethos Comp Custom Build
The aim of the Aethos is to be light, to be that ‘best bike’ you keep for the sunny days, the fast social rides with mates. The club run weapon. It’s UCI accredited so you can race it to whatever level you wish but we think that slightly misses the point. Specialized have used all their experience to create a bike that breaks away from the modern trends of fully integrated cabling and aero features. This bike cuts a much more traditional silhouette and we can’t help but admire the apparent simplicity of it.
Above the standard specification, the bike has the following upgrades, Reserve 32 carbon wheels, Cervelo Carbon handlebars, S-Works Stem, Pirelli P-Zero Race Classic tyres and Force 46/33T Chainset and 10/36 cassette.
In this guise the bike weighs 7.2kg, combined with the easy gearing hills should not be a problem.
