CYCLE TO WORK SCHEMES
Cycle to Work Schemes are initiatives that enable employees to buy bikes and cycling gear at a discounted price through their employers. By spreading the cost over several months and taking advantage of tax breaks, you can save money while investing in a bike for commuting. These schemes encourage eco-friendly travel, promote healthier lifestyles, and reduce commuting costs. They are a popular choice for those looking to make cycling a regular part of their daily routine while enjoying financial benefits.

WHAT IS CYCLESCHEME?
Cycle to Work Schemes are government-supported initiatives designed to encourage employees to commute by bicycle. Through these schemes, employees can purchase a bike and cycling equipment through their employer, spreading the cost over a period, typically 12 months, with payments deducted directly from their salary before tax. This arrangement, known as salary sacrifice, allows employees to save money by reducing the amount of tax and National Insurance they pay.
HOW MUCH CAN I SPEND?
This can vary depending on your employer and your affordability.

Go Green
The program aims to promote healthier lifestyles, reduce traffic congestion, and lower carbon emissions by making cycling a more attractive and affordable option for commuting. After the payment period ends, the bike is yours. The Cycle to Work Scheme is widely used in the UK and similar programs exist in other countries to support sustainable transportation as part of Global changes to reduce our CO2 emmissions.
