+Cycle to Work Schemes are initiatives that enable employees to buy bikes
and cycling gear at a discounted price through their employers. By
spreading the cost over several months and taking advantage of tax
breaks, you can save money while investing in a bike for commuting.
These schemes encourage eco-friendly travel, promote healthier
lifestyles, and reduce commuting costs. They are a popular choice for
those looking to make cycling a regular part of their daily routine
while enjoying financial benefits.
The Altura Ridge Men's Waterproof Jacket combines highly breathable 20K/20K three-layer waterproof protection with taped seams, a C0 DWR finish and practical ventilation. A helmet-compatible adjustable hood, large hand pockets and an internal chest pocket make it suited to long, wet rides and trail days.
Highly breathable, fully waterproof performance, loaded with trail rider-driven features.
Why riders choose it
- 3-layer 20K/20K fabric with a soft, quiet handfeel
- Taped seams seal out sustained hill-day weather
- Mesh gaiter and pit zips give real airflow control
- Massive hand pockets plus internal chest pocket
- Large hood adjusts to fit with or without a helmet
The Ridge is built for big days on the hills, where the weather turns and you're still hours from the car. A high quality three-layer fabric carries a 20K/20K waterproof and breathability rating with a C0 DWR finish, and fully taped seams close off every stitch. The soft touch handfeel means it doesn't rustle or feel plasticky as you move, which matters when you're wearing it all day.
Ventilation is where it pulls ahead. A front zip mesh gaiter system lets you run the jacket open without letting rain in, so you can dial airflow up and down as the gradient changes, with pit zips backing it up on the hardest efforts. Storage is genuinely generous: massive hand pockets take gloves, food and a spare tube, with an internal chest pocket for the things you want kept dry. The hood is sized for a helmet and pulls down with a simple volume reduction system when you're off the bike, and the relaxed MTB fit gives you room to move without looking like a tent.
